Added a 404, and BTW
 

Hello all,

After delivering the Free S/M stand I finished up my new 404 and she is ready for action. And BTW, back in the day I used baby food jars, in my shop, that tops were screwed to an overhead board allowing one to see at a glance what is in view. I thought I would try that concept with peanut butter jaws. Things are right in front of the work station and readily available. I can put about 18 jars up and if things work out, I will need to increase my peanut butter consumption. :D Check out the pics. Chow for now.

The 404 looks great. My dh used to used baby food jars also but the babies are long gone (well, not actually gone but adults so sort of the same thing) so we don't get them anymore. I'll have to tell him about your peanut butter jar idea although our dogs are the only ones who eat peanut butter in our house. I'll have to hunt up some kids to help out!

I've seen the baby food jars before too. Nice to know I'm not the only one to save peanut butter jars for small parts.

I use jelly jars for about the same purpose. Clear glass so you can see what's in them.

Your 404 looks great. Worked on my 401 this weekend cleaning and lubing. Runs like a sleepy cat, just purrs. I use peanut butter jars but you can also find other ones (smaller) go jars with screw top lids. My dad did a lot of wood crafting and used baby food jars. Between 5 kids he had a large supply especially if he dropped one. I used them also for little buttons that got lost in button boxes. Recycling has been going on a lot longer than most people realize. Centuries!!

You can use canning jars too. Find the ones that are looking pretty nasty from calcium buildup with screw lids that are showing a bit of rust on them. I use them in my workshop all the time. I use my small cat cans to stand things up when I spray painting, staining or varnishing. Got a handful of the old wire hangers and clipped a section out of the middle to slip chicken wire sections to spray paint.
