Oh! Great idea! She was interested in the mug rug I showed her. I can make an animal collection for her. She said, "I hope it brings you joy and not frustration." I found a long thread wound behind the bobbin race. Maybe that's why she might have had frustration.

It's beautiful and looks absolutely pristine... but I have to tell you the 301 was a much, much better find! A 301 for $25 is something to jump up and down about. :p

Some friends are like family. Consider yourself a family member at this point and just enjoy that wonderful machine. I have two of the same model. One was my MILs and one my dad bought for me at a flea market. I cant get rid of either one. Just enjoy! Don't worry about "payback." I don't think your friend is looking for that...she just wants someone to appreciate something that was her mom's.
