Another for the Singer collection

this is one of the harder to get Singers -

Allocated July 1939. It's a 128-8, and will look neat next to my Godzilla 128 -23

very interesting. I think Singer inherited the design from Standard / Osann and used to be called a "Hexagon"

I think I saw that very machine up on E-bay several weeks or so ago.... the odd cover plate made me question it and go research it.

Dan, this one has been on eBay for quite some time, it finally got down to a price I was willing to pay.

Jon- when Singer bought Osann, they got what was left of the Standard Hexagon stock. Kind of like what Singer did when they bought Wheeler Wilson.

I don't think I've seen that before. Very interesting design. I'm kind of surprised Singer grouped it with the 128s. It's different enough I would think it deserved it's own model #.
Jon I think you're right about it being left over from Osann. There are too many similarities for it not to be.
