Antique machine in motion

This is on Facebook in a Vintage Sewing Machines group. I didn't think I could post the video so I'm posting the link to it. I think you'll enjoy it. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...ype=2&theater#

That's pretty cool. I'm always amazed by the unusual machines although I probably wouldn't ever try to work on one. I'm still having trouble with that really old Davis.

Wow... amazing that he got it to work again. Don't know how much actual sewing I'd want to do on it.

"good ol Yankee ingenuity" That is a "New England" style usually only seen as a handcrank. the treadle base is SUPER SUPER rare... and yes, they sew nicely. Simple but straight chainstitch.

I think it was well preserved because of the box.

Alex Askaroff does some wonderful machine restoration and he is so fun and interesting to watch and listen to on youtube. He sure sounded excited about that machine and after seeing it, I can see why.
