Any info on Brother XL3100?

Just got this machine and can't find much information on it. A coworker buys storage units and he has orders to tell me about any sewing machines he finds. I love cleaning them up and getting them in the hands of someone who needs one. Last week he had this one. He's sure he has the base that goes on it. I sure hope so but he went to Arizona for a week so I have to wait :(
Anyway does anyone know when this machine was made? When I got it, it was frozen, but I was very determined and with oil and a little 'elbow grease' it's purring along just fine! I had to order a new bobbin case tho and can't wait for it to come. Maybe you can see (if I posted the photo correctly) the manual actually has my name on the front! So I think I'll just have to keep her!
She happens to be sitting right in front of my precious BabyLock Elizabeth! Hope she doesn't get jealous!

It's not a vintage machine.

Based on this rather confusing blog, it looks like your machine was made in the early 2000's: http://mobbscrubs.blogspot.ca/2011/0...g-machine.html. It's tough to figure out the age of new sewing machines; the manufacturers don't seem to provide lists of models and years. Very cool that the manual has your name embroidered on the cover!

Oh, if you need extra bobbins, they're cheap on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Style-Sewing-M.../dp/B001UCGZXI. I read somewhere that Brother 155 and 156 bobbins are almost identical, but 1/8" difference in height, so make sure you get the 156's.

Thanks so much, Jennifer! Your info helps. I own/have owned many vintage machines and was stumped at not being able to find a date for this newer one. I figured you folks would be able to help me figure it out. I got the bobbin case today and she now sews beautifully! Gotta keep her!
