Anyone know what this part is?

While cleaning my Two Spool, I noticed a piece of broken metal. I looked through some of the pics that Macybaby posted to give me some tips on attachments. Can anyone verify (or can you Macybaby) that this long, thin metal piece hanging out to the left (odd shaped, in front of the button holer, on the presser foot bar) is a thread cutter? If it's not, what is it?

Thanks!

Yes, I do believe that's the thread cutter.

yes, that is a thread cutter. I have several of them. In some cases, the attachment directions state to remove it and put the guide arm (like with quilting) into that hole. Probably why I've got several boxes of attachments with the thread guide in them. Take off and never put back on!

Thanks for the confirmation! When I first saw something broken, my heart skipped a beat or two.

If you're ever feeling like you need to rid yourself of one if those Macybaby, let me know! LOL. :D

your thread cutter is not broken, that is what they look like.

Unless this is not the piece you are referring to

Silly me - just realized that was my machine in the first picture!

That is exactly what I'm referring to...although mine was a small stick of sharp metal that had been broken, LOL. Thanks so much for going out of your way to post pics for confirmation. I really appreciate it! ;)
