auction win

I got this at an auction for 12.50...Singer #AJ861168 I have no idea how to wind the bobbin as it looks like a bullet. Also it has a plate missing but it does run. Any help would be great. I don't know how to add pics!

Sounds like a singer shuttle machine ... model 27, 127 or 28,128
take a look at the thread stickied at the top( or just click on this link ) on how to clean and use an old machine

Serial number shows it is a Model 128 made 1950. You can get a manual online at the Singer Sewing Machine Co. website for free (download). Those are good little machines. Good for you!!

Oooooohhh I LOVES me some 128's. From the 50's is most likely a 128-23 in "godzilla" finish.
Would love to see pictures of it, and I Know we can help you make it run and work well. I love all of mine (I have 4 complete ones and parts of a 5th)
