Babylock Design Pro B21 Needle holder fell off

I am in dire need of help with this one. The scout patches must go on!!
My daughter tried with the Featherweight and it seems she tried everything
including moving the motor back because the belt would just spin around.
Then she has a full birdnest under the fabric. Stopped with that machine.
Onto the Babylock. The first patch went on, and then all of a sudden the
whole needle holder fell off with needle attached, the little last thread ring
dudad also. When I turned the holder, a little bullet shaped thing came out
but I was able to keep all the parts. Now I cannot keep it on.
Is there a very small screw that holds it on? There is a hole on the right
that looks like a screw hole. No screw in sight.
I have an old White machine and will have to bring that out. But the
Babylock has shown beautiful stitches and I was going to use it most.
Please help me. Thanks so much.

Do you have the manual for your machine? There should be close up pics of the needle area.

Here is the spec sheet. Does it look like this one?

Can you post a photo of what parts you have and the needle area on your machine so we can give you more help?

I will attempt to send the pictures. I had to get a magnifying glass to check the post out that holds all this. There is a small slot in the post on the right back corner that I can get my fingernail in but no hole. The slot is about 1/2" long.
As you can see from the pics, there is the large thing that goes on the post, then the bullet thingy, then the screw, and of course, the thread holder before the thread goes thru the needle. The large thing that goes onto the post I have pic'd alone showing a hole aside of the screw that holds the needle. This is where I feel a small screw should be. When I attempt to put it back together and slide it onto the post, it will not stay. When I was sewing, the whole thing fell with the needle still threaded. It was sewing a scout patch onto his sash.
The thread holder has a straight side to it that fits up into the large piece. Is this supposed to go into that slot on the post because it is to big to fit but could be held there by it.
I have only had one machine ever into the machinist. I keep them clean and oiled and now I will have to work on the green Featherweight plus this one. That is why I did not want to get a computerized machine but then I broke down and bought a Tiari II. To have 2 machines with trouble in 23 hrs. is not supposed to happen.
Thanks a lot for any info. It says all of my pic trys failed. I'll keep trying. I will go refresh how to attach pics and then try again.

I will try again. I can't find the little tree icon. Tomorrow then.

I had the same thing happen with my BL Denim Pro (it was my take to class machine) when I tried to sew through several layers of corduroy. DH looked at it and said it could probably be reattached with liquid solder but I realized the timing would no doubt be messed up and I'd have to take it in to the shop to get that fixed. So it still sits under my sewing table waiting to be fixed or scuttled. Never really liked that machine anyway so I bought a new machine for classes and retreats. Keep us posted on yours, I'm interested to see if I should fix mine or trash it.

I think there is a special adhesive to secure patches. I ended up gluing when all my machines failed. There must be a way!!

If someone could help me post my 3 pics, that would help very much. Thanks.

Your pics probably need to be re-sized into a smaller size in order to post. What are you using? Lap top, I pad? You can email them to your computer and save the pics into a new file. Then post from laptop.

Is that hole for a seam guide perhaps? It just slides into the space, no screw.

Rhonda, I have the pics downloaded here on the same home computer. The directions say to hit the "insert image" at the top which looks like a box with a tree in it. That is what I cannot find. If you go to "help" above and go to the posting pics category, it says to look for this. Where is it? Thanks

The middle square image in the last box says "insert image". Hover over that and you will see the words. Click on it.

Select "From Computer" and browse. Find your pic where you stored it in the computer.

Select Open and Upload File.

Hope that helps.
