Bernina 1010 - bobbin winder not working
 

A friend has this machine & is having trouble getting the bobbin winder to work. She doesn't have a manual. How does the bobbin winder work?

I tried fiddling with it, but winder doesn't move back & forth like on a Kenmore.

Any information would be awesome.

Bernina has some out-of-print manuals available for download on their website. I looked, and the 1010 it not on the list but a 1011 is, maybe it is close enough to see how the bobbin winder works? HTH, Kim

I have a 1010. You should be able to press the bobbin spool to the right to engage the winder mechanism.
