Bobbin Winder on 15 Clone Stops Too Soon

I have a 15 clone with a "Macys Own Herald" badge. It sews wonderfully with beautiful stitches but when I wind a bobbin the bobbin winder pops up and stops long before the bobbin is fully wound. It is only about 1/3 full when it stops. Is there an adjustment I can make to get it to wind the bobbin more fully?

most likely. can you post a picture of the bobbin winder unit for your machine?

There should be an adjustment screw that you can use to back the winder off a little so it won't pop until the bobbin is full.

Hopefully this works. Links to pictures of the machine and the bobbin winder.

My 15 clone is very similar. The bobbin winder area looks identical. The only adjustment I can see is to gently bend the tab that rides on the thread until you can fill your bobbin. Just pull up on it. Mine was fairly easy to bend when I tried. It's possible yours was bumped or bent somehow.

Cari, the adjustment screw you refer to, is it the one in the second photo that is just above the tire and left of the handwheel?

Is that the right bobbin winder tire? It looks thick. There is an adjustment for the bobbin winder.

The adjustment for the bobbin winder should be somewhere around the thing that says PUSH. Some are a little thumb screw on the top of the thing that says PUSH. I don't see one on your machine but there should be one somewhere.

I don't know, perhaps it isn't. It came to me with this tire. The machine had belonged to my friend's grandmother.
