Bobbins

Looking for a source of bobbins for Singer 600E Slant o Matic at a reasonable price.
No one in my area seems to carry them for this machine purchased in 1965.

Jenny carries them. She's a great vendor.

600E. Touch & Sew? Hancocks in Tacoma had them, it's where I bought mine. If there's a Hancocks near you it's worth checking. The older Touch & Sews use the clear bobbins with white stripes.
I learned this the hard way. Make sure both halves are screwed tightly together otherwise you'll be fighting jams.

I have some with the black stripe, are these for the T&S?

Cari-in-Oly 09-15-2014 08:24 PM

Nope, the white stripe ones are for the 600/700 series T&S. There are two black stripe bobbins, one for the 6200 series machines and a slightly different one for the Futura/Athena machines.

Thanks Cari. I have a bunch of bobbins that I have no idea what they go to. I've got a couple machines in storage but those names don't ring any bells.

Here's where I got the information. Maybe you can figure it out from there.

Thank you! That site will help me figure out what the bits and pieces go to and whether or not I want that machine.
