BU-tiful! My bellissima new machine...

Hey folks
My latest purchase is a gorgeous Necchi BU (possibly 1949) in an original treadle table. I could not believe my eyes when I opened up that solitary drawer and found it absoltely crammed with stuff, including the original accessories box which contains those beautifully sculptural Necchi machine feet (high shank) and a couple of Necchi screwdrivers as well as a buttonhole cutting tool which is really awesome. All metal with three blade sizes concealed inside. We are having few tension issues but I am not at all experienced with sorting these out. It was missing it's return spring thingo and my LSMG fashioned me a new one but I think it still needs tweaking. We'll get there. This earlier model has a very nifty tension assembly but it's a bit harder to find info as the manuals I've found picture the later one. Anyway, here are some pics :) ... apologies for the sideways pics but after a week of computer problems I'm still missing my editing software so it's this or nothing I'm afraid :( |
