I have no idea if this cabinet belongs with the Honeymoon machine or not. But it sure is pretty---------but in bad repair. The metal part of the base is rather simple considering the pretty fronts.

Its glue has dried out. The woodwork is very shaky. The bed the machine sits on is in need of some glue, too.

But the design is pretty, don't you think?

I've got the Honeymoon machine on my kitchen table. It is crudded over with a hard oily dirty residue. So, I'm thinking the sewing machine was not originally in this cabinet. The top of the cabinet has bird dropping marks (I think) but it's not really got oily dirt.

It's beautiful. I am thinking that people left treadle machines out on maybe a porch where the light was good, which is why they are so worn?

I'm sorry, I forgot part of my info. the machine & cabinet was stored in a barn--thus the bird droppings.

Just found this when I googled Honeymoon sewing machine. I think that is an original Honeymoon cabinet, as I've seen 2 with the machines since. How's the cleanup coming?

So......reglue it and get to treadling. :D

GrannieAnnie,

Exactly where are the machine pics? I've searched and searched and even went into your profile and went back several pages and found nothing about this machine.

Looks like you won't have to do much to spiff her back up.... Nice!

Beautiful designs on her. Sure hope you can refurbish that lovely cabinet.
