Calling Steve, Calling Steve.

Steve,

Can you tell me what this is? It is for sale locally, and I am curious. There does not seem to be a crank; would it be/have been a hand crank? Do you think it is a chain stitcher? Or a regular stitch?

It looks like a Raymond. It is a Transverse lock stitch very much like the Singer 12. (So much so that it is said the owner moved his company to Ontario Canada because of patent infringement issues.

I just lost out on one of these on Fleabay. I'd be ALL over that.
