Hi guys , ive recently found several old industrial sewing machines in my grandmothers house she sadly passed away last year

i am in the process of clearing the house and am trying to work out what exactly these machines are and if they are worth anything these days

ive tried to find the model numbers of the machines and have also attached some photos if anyone can help identify / value them for me as far as i am aware they are all in working order

the models (i think ) are as follows

Seiko - STH-88L

PFFAF - needle point sewing machine

U.S Blind Stitch N.Y ( can not find model no on this one )

Brother MA4 - B551

Do you have any sewing places close to you whereupon could bring the pictures? Also look for local repair shops. Someone there may be able to give you a good idea. I look forward to reading more about these machines.

That's usually because the photo is too large. I reduce mine to 96 dpi and they load. I've also read that less than about 1.5 megs will load. If you leave the photos pretty large, don't put more than about 4 in each post. This may not be exact, but since Houzz changed software, we're still trying to figure out the parameters.

I'm using the defaults provided by this site to reduce my pictures, download there and bring up here:

I just reduce my main window and drag from my camera to the drag point.

Kudos to you for taking the time to check out the equipment. Unfortunately, I don't know much about the industrial machines other than someone will want them, but maybe for less than you would like/dream. From the limited looking I've done, looks like grandma had good taste in her machines!

There may be surprising value in fabrics, don't discard them without having someone go through them.

if you are on facebook there is at least a vintage industrial page. But be aware, pricing on any used machine is always a challenge. Some days I swear some folks choose prices from chicken entrails.

I don't know anything about the machines. Wish I did, but I just wanted to say, that you have found treasure. I would love to have the Seiko. It looks like the one Donna Jordan sews on, but I think hers is a different brand.
Edited to add: Donna sews on a 20 year old Consew at a rate of 6,000 stitches per minute. I have to laugh, because if I tried to sew that fast, there would be no straight seams. lol Jack & I are already good friends, and we would become better ones.

Wow! I'd like to know how Grandma got all those machines because that's some heavy duty sewing power you've got there. There is a market for industrial machines ( I'm assuming they work) check prices on eBay, craigslist, etc. Since they're "found" machines and you haven't spent anything on repairs, if you don't expect the moon, you may be pleasantly surprised. You might try searching the machine website to see what they are used for.
Also might try etsy or ebay to see if there are similar ones to what you have and see what the prices are they sell for. Your location may also play a part in the final cost.
My Daddy had an industrial sewing machine as he did repair of the school district's bus seats and lots of furniture overdo's.
