Plug a table lamp into the one labeled "motor" with a 100 watt bulb in it. operate foot control, observe light level, what did you notice?

I'm a slow goer, my 15 clone goes way to fast for me. I put a small roll of styrofoam? sheeting in between the foot and the boxworks. It is soft pliable stuff. A roll of fabric would do the same..

one of my old school controllers has an adjustable stop screw thru the pedal, to limit top speed. Handy for VS machines that shake too much at high speed. Which reminds me of the line I've had used on me when someone borrowed my car, handed me the keys after saying "It has a bit of vibration ober 80..."

I finally get what your saying. Im dense sometimes. Mine is marked 1 2 3. but I also figured out what was meant by stop screw. Got a longer one and that works. It is much slower now.

Your cord block receptacle has 3 outlets on it?? I think we're on different pages here, and I'm glad you found a solution. If you can, pls post a pic of your foot control/wiring...

Kenmores, even the clones used a motor with integral spade connections. A cord block like this:
