Is this case for a white featherweight?
Because otherwise I can't figure out why it's so expensive.

Not according to https://singer-featherweight.com/blo...herweight-case
But evidently, they might think so. According, to https://www.novamontgomery.com/singe...weight-221.htm the cases for featherweights are approximately 13” x 8” x 12” although there were some variations. That one is larger like the portable bases are close to 18" wide. Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do. Not affiliated with off-site link(s) |
My mom had a white featherweight and it came in a green and white square/rectangle case like the black one pictured. I have never seen the newer case pictured.

Looks like it might be for a tan Featherweight?

I just don't think so! Maybe for a different model sewing machine. Of course this question could better be answered by someone who specializes in FWs.

Back in the olden days, Singer Sewing Centers carried lots of stuff. The one in our shopping center was like a fabric store that sold sewing machines. They sold patterns, zippers, thread, books and I would guess --- Sewing boxes. bkay |
