Connector bar
 

I am needing a connector bar for my Kenmore 148.11040 sewing machine. It connects the needle bar to the bar that goes across the top of the sewing machine. It has no parts number on it and when I check the diagrams on Sears parts, the no longer have the part.

I suggest you join the Kenmore vintage sewing machine group on yahoo. Your chances of finding it there are probably better than anywhere else.

A donor machine may be the best bet. Yes, but you may not get a straight answer there. Group owner is strict. I don't recall if sale info is allowed. There is a second kenmore group https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/OldKenmoreSewingMachines/info
