Cutaway Machine

It's too bad I can't do the shipping on this one. It's been thru once already with no bids. The price has been lowered to a starting bid of $4.95.
It's a cutaway model to show the internal workings of a sewing machine.

EDIT: Oops: $4.99 opening bid.
Also, it looks like it's a National to me.

Rodney,

I've been watching that one too. I didn't go for it the first time because I wasn't sure it really was a factory cut away.

Hmmm, perhaps I'll have some more money this time.

I don't know if it's factory or not but the cuts are very clean. It was certainly no hack job. If I had the bucks I'd go for it. It's about $52 S&H fees for me though, plus I'd also want to cannibalize another machine to make it a runner.

EDIT: I just went back for another look. About the only thing it needs to run is a base and a motor. It's more complete than I thought.

Rodney - I hope you get it. I know you would make good use of it.
Or else Miriam could put into her museum.

I can't do the shipping. It's down in Florida so it's as expensive as it gets for me unless it's from outside the US.
It's not for everyone but to me it's a neat piece.
