second hand store had this forlorn machine needing a home, so I brought it home.
has a manual and it is actually fairly clean underneath and runs pretty smooth. interesting two sided cam on the back side.... one side for the "silver stitches" on the knob and the other side for the "gold"

I think that's one of the oldest Riccars I've seen. I think it qualifies as a dash board machine. Riccar had some interesting designs over the years.
Nice find.

Great find! You'll have fun with this one.

Check out the lever arrangement AND push button for reverse... the lever is for throwing it in reverse to do "the other side" of button holes.... they consider it an "automated button holer"

i should post a pic of my Riccar 15 clone. It's set up on a Riccar Treadle.

Does that Riccar have an internal cloth cleated belt?
I love it looks like an old Studebaker.

Thanks! If that $19.99 sticker is what you paid I think you did well. It's a neat machine. I would have brought it home too.
Interesting design for the cams. Did it come with more than just the one?
