Dating old machines

How do I date old singer machines please.? I have 3 two treadles and one featherweight. Where are. The number sect new to collecting. Old machines. But I have always loved the black singers.

This is the best site I have found to date and identify machines. http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...-database.html

I love the old black Singers, too. There is a kind of elegance to them, even if they are well worn, with dull paint and fading decals. It's remarkable how a bit of cleaning, oiling and the occasional re-wiring can bring them right back to their past glory days. Maybe not as pretty, but just as serviceable.

thanks for posting that link. I was gifted with a blackside or crinkle (not sure which) 66 yesterday, along with a treadle cabinet. I'm not sure the machine has ever been used...it is a beauty.
