Do you ever "relay" cabinets or machines from one place to another?

The dilemma is that I found a rare old cabinet that's fits one of my machines--they are very hard to find. It is in Ft. Worth, TX and I am near Topeka, KS. If it can be picked up, I can get it for a song. If not, it will really cost a LOT in shipping and handling! I am trying to get the company I work for to pick it up (they have trucks and make deliveries/pick-ups all over the country), but if that falls through, I am wondering if any of you are planning a little trip from there to here and could bring the cabinet along for the ride. I know this is asking a lot, but I am a somewhat feeble 73-yr-old and a $200 round trip isn't very appealing. Any ideas? Thanks for listening. :o

I am on the left coast, so not able to help, but the Treadlelon group does what is referred to as "Pony Express" To help ferry machines from seller to buyer. It can take months, but it is a great way to make sure your machine is not damaged as well. check em out.

Unfortunately, this won't qualify because the cabinet is for a 1960 electric machine. And it is just the cabinet, not a machine. =Sigh=

Don't give up even before asking.

The company I work for makes country-wide deliveries and, sometimes, pick-ups. Today I'll find out if they will do that for me at a minimum charge. That would really solve the problem, provided the cabinet doesn't meet with disaster during transport. Keep your fingers crossed. Pray.
If I can't do it this way, I'll talk to TreadleOn. Thank you for suggesting them.

Well, friends, here it is, a Pfaff Mid-Century Modern sewing machine cabinet! Just the thing for my Pfaff 360, even though it needs some TLC. It will be picked up by a company truck for a pittance. Tell me what you think of this cabinet; I have never seen it anywhere before.

That's gorgeous. I love a lot of the mid century wood stuff.
