I am trying to help a friend of mine find out about
this attachment.
DX-05 PANTOGRAPH TRACE EMBROIDERY SEWING MACHINE ATTACHMENT

we were cleaning out her mother's house (her mom is moving in with my friend)
and we can't ask mom were she got it because she doesn't know very much after her
recovery for stroke. we have looked on internet, called local sewing machine dealer,but
we can't find any information on this attachment. It is a big attachment, but what
machine it goes with or how to use it we don't know. There has never been a sewing machine
in this lady house, she is not a sewer. Also no instruction manual with attachment. Attachment was in a long box with DX-05 PANTOGRAPH TRACE EMBROIDERY SEWING MACHINE ATTACHMENT

I googled the item name of the item and came up with an Ebay listing. For an Elna sewing machine. Looks interesting.

Yes seen that one on ebay. I email the seller...never answered back. but you are so right this attachment look very interesting. If my friend and I ever discover what sewing machine this will work on she said
she is going to have to buy one it just to see how it works. I know it will not work on my Kenmore
1583450 we tried it. Just another project for us to work on to find the answer....ha ha along with
the crazy monogrammer # V171278 I have been trying to find for months. Funny how the part you are looking for is never the part you find.

Well after googling your attachment it looks like you set it up and then use your machine to trace the original and at the same time stitch out a duplicut of the same image. Interesting kind of like what Wahington (?) used for signing and writing many letters.
