I have a machine that looks very similar, it is a Frister Rossmann made in Germany and sold in England.
I am having a problem with mine. I hope some one on this forum can help.

The thread doesn't want to go around the shuttle. It gets hung up at the end. It is almost as if the shuttle is too long and fits too tight to let the thread pass. Also it uses a smaller in diameter pencil bobbin with a hole in the end like a notch to secure it when winding. The bobbins I got from Sew-Classic won't fit.
