Brown, case in poor shape, includes attachments and one bobbin/bobbin case. Worth $67?
I'm at the store now, lol.

If it makes your heart go pitter patter and you can afford it, then it's worth it. If you can easily walk away, then it's not. That's usually how I measure worth when it comes to my herd.

Can you turn the wheel?

kuntryquilter 03-08-2017 05:06 AM

Buy it. NOW!

Did you get it?

Sleepy Hollow 03-08-2017 12:29 PM

I got it :)

The wheel turns and everything seems to be there. I asked if I bought it, took it home, and it didn't work if I could return it, and they said yes (as long as I had the receipt). I figured I wouldn't lose that way, in case I came home to "don't do it" responses or would have trouble with the machine.

Nice! I have a White MG77, which is kissing cousin to this machine. I think they're very classy looking little machines. Congrats on your new toy! :)

When you fire it up, if the motor seems to wobble a lot or the machine makes a "rumble" noise, it might just be the friction wheel that needs to be replaced. (The rubber wheel on the motor that runs against the hand wheel) They often get out of round after years of sitting but they are inexpensive and easy to replace.

What fun, enjoy your NEW machine.......

Ooh, yay for a new toy! My only question is, how is the wiring? Frayed or is it looking good and safe?

Ah.... There was the rub :(

Before I bought it, I asked about the ability to return it, just in case it didn't work. They said it would be fine as long as I had the receipt.

I brought it home and was ready to play with it the next day. Opened it up and realized there was no power cord/foot pedal! I did a little looking online, but did not find something I knew would work. Our local sewing machine store went out of business last year, so could not go there for help. I only had a few days to return it or eat the cost for something that could be expensive to get working, so I decided to return it.

I guess next time I'll remember to look for *everything*!
