Dressmaker W-60

This is my Mothers Dressmaker model W-60 DE Luxe Zig Zag Precision Sewing Machine Made In Japan. I have a full set of cams, the accessory box and best of all a printed manual. The unique item on this machine is the blind stitch dial. I still don't know what year it was made. If anyone cam help with that, the serial number is JNZ 617410.

Your Dressmaker looks like it is brand-new!

My, she took very good care of it. You are so lucky !

It can sometimes be hard to pin down manufacture dates for Japanese machines and serial numbers are useless. There aren't any records to search. The best anyone can usually give is a guesstimate based on features of the machine. I'm not sure about it so I'll let someone else chime in.

It's beautiful! I'd guess late 1950's or very early 60's.

Beautiful machine and in pristine condition! I love the powder blue color.

This is a Dressmaker Badge located on the face plate of this sewing machine.

I've seen that on other machines but I don't recall if they were all Dressmakers or not. Dressmaker is a badge name that has been used by more than one manufacturer, in fact it's still in use today. I'm sure my 80s Dressmaker doesn't have this on it.

Thank you for your input. I’m trying to learn as much as I can about this sewing machine.
I only know of three that exist. The machine I have. One for sell on eBay as a parts machine.
The third one right here on Quilting board. https://www.quiltingboard.com/showth...errerid=181771

Like I said, it's a badged machine. That means that the distributor who imported the machine could put whatever name they wanted on it. Your machine was sold under several different names.
