How could I turn it down for a dollar? It needs rewiring and had Chicago plugs ( Boo) tension unit spins, clutch knob doesn't release and it had a home made presser foot. Wonder what else I will find? Good thing I like puzzles. By a Singer 201 for size

! Score ! Was it just the head? Interesting foot. Must be for a specialty purpose. Was there any indication of what it was used for? I'm wondering if maybe an early free motion foot.

I think an Expert BT manual may work. One can be found at http://www.doubleveil.net/zssmp/expertbt.htm at the top of the page. There is another one on another website.

It had a cabinet with it, but it wasn't worth dragging home. I suspect a previous previous owner made the foot instead of trying to track one down. If you don't know you are looking for National pars, the hunt gets harder.

I think that's an over-braider foot. Braid fed through non scoop end to be sewed to material (that foot is over).

With my National "Viking" art deco newly arrived, I am learning that the National/Eldridge sewing machine co. had a colorful corporate history, with machines under many, many labels. Some were made by National and labeled by others; a few may have been made by others and labeled as Nationals.

I was looking for something else and happened across https://www.amazon.com/LNKA-Presser-...7/ref=sr_1_123 It almost looks homemade, too. I don't think there were anything similar for top clamp machines.
