I have two questions about embossed Whites.. Are they molded like this or is there a shell that is stuck fo a regular base? Is there a better cleaning plan than sewing machine oil and Q tips? oops 3 questions. How were the bronze finishes added? Thanks so much. Leonf

Wow! I really like the finish on this machine. No idea of how it was done though.

Leon: I know this not an answer to your question but I think I would like one like that. Please tell me: is it about 1920's? does it take regular needles? I see the word rotary so it has the same action and similar bobbin to my FW? Don't they come in a treadle? Thanks for furthering my education. Cheers Kelsie

Amazing machine! I have never seen anything like this. thank you for Sharing.

I can't tell you about the finish, but I'm pretty sure the embossment would have been part of the casting mold. That machine reminds me of the old wood stove that my uncle had in his shop, it was cast iron with the same sort of ornate scrolling.

I don't know a lot about this White. It does take a conventional looking rotary bobbin. It should have the famous "T-shirt " bobbin cover slide. The motor looks stock. Judging by some of it's peers I would guess late 1930s to 1940s.
I've never seen a treadle one, I've only used this one long enough to make sure it works.

Thank you all for you interest.
