Ever heard of an "Alice"?
Picked this up at a thrift store.
Parts have made in Italy markings, and seems to have the same mechanical apperance to a Necchi Lydia. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...4701331_LL.jpg |
Never heard of an Alice, but it’s a nice looking machine. How does she sew?
Alice is a new one to me, but I like her sleek design,
wow sleek! is that a manual under the free arm?
Here's a link to a necchi 'Lydia"....if you contact the seller they might have more info for you, they seem to know a lot about this machine.

Oh what a neat machine!! I wish I had that much throat space on mine.
Am I the only one who want to write White Rabbit lyrics? Go ask Alice. Pretty machine. Newer than my Necchis.
I have never seen such a sleek looking machine. Hope it sews well for you. I grew up using a Necchi and I loved it. It was pedal to the metal fast.
Looks great and I hope she sews great too!

I did a little more image searching and think I nailed it: A Necchi 545
https://img01-olxro.akamaized.net/im...-bucuresti.jpg It did come with a manual, but it has no company information and even calls it a "Alice Super Zig Zag 2" on the cover, reminiscent of manuals that are hastily put together for import items. It runs pretty good. I had to take the camstack apart because it was gummed up and wouldn't move. but otherwise feels like a nice machine. |
