Featherweight controller questions
I bought a featherweight at auction a while back and have not messed with it. I just put it on the shelf and ignored it (it is a well used machine). I decided to see if it works and first rattle out of the box, the controller wasn't in the box.
I don't remember if it came with a controller or not (controller +wiring and plugs). I have one that may or may not be the right one, but it wasn't in the case with the machine. It looks pretty much like the 15-91 and 201-2 assembly with a wire to the wall, one to the controller itself and 3 prong plug that fits the machine. (The whole assembly will have to be rewired as it's not in good condition.) Is there a way to tell if this one will fit without wiring it and trying it out? bkay |

Hi Bkay, it should fit a 3 prong receptacle like this, even though the FW's will look a bit different. Did I answer your question??

I've never had any problems switching 3-pin plugs/controller combination between machines. I even put one on a 319 that the power was hard wired to the motor. I put a 3-pin controller/plug and it worked fine. I have switched 3-pin plug/controllers between 15, 66. 221 and the 319.

Yep, jsut do it.

I can confirm they're all wired the same as well. The same foot controllers (both vintage and modern) work on my 15-91, 201-2, and Featherweight.
