Featherweight feet

What types of feet can be used on my Featherweight ?
I was told that any short shank foot can be used, is this true?

Yes. You want short (or low) shank feet. When I started playing with vintage machines last fall figuring out the basics like which attachments fit my machine was a real pain. This should make things a bit more clear.

Sewclassic has a very good reputation here.

While any short shank foot will fit, I would keep in mind the width of the Featherweight feed dogs. The FW, like all straight stitchers, will have narrower feed dogs than zig-zag machines. So a short shank foot designed for a zz machine will fit on the needlebar but not perform as well because it doesn't contact the feed dogs properly.

if you are looking for the basic set, send me a PM. I have a lot of extras for the short shank straight stitch machine.

I have two featherweights and I just bought a 1/4" foot from s web site, google 221 parts. This foot was $12.95and other sites had it for $29.99 and I also bought hinges for my black box, one was missing and these were $12.95 the shipping was $3.95, a great site.

Cool...
Thanks so much to everyone for the information.
I would really like to get a Style-O-Matic foot, I hear that these are hard to find.
I am going to try some local antique shops and hopefully will find some feet there.
Ebay had on for $449.00 OUCH! Tooooooooooo rich for my blood.
This looks like a Do-It-All foot!

Great Info...
I have an old Singer 95-1 that is a workhorse, I have had it for about 40 years, my mom had it for who knows how long before that, but it uses high shank feet, so none of them fit.

What does one use the "Style-O-Matic" foot for? I've never seen one before & I'm curious.:o

Well, I never heard of a Style-o-matic before. Pretty cool.
