featherweight lid organizer?

I'd never heard of one, but I'm poking around the internet and found this link: http://thefeatherweight221factory.com/page13.php that mentions two different types. The pictures themselves are no longer hosted, and my google-fu is failing me. Anybody got a picture of either type? Anybody actually have one (you lucky so-and-so!)? Inquiring-read: nosy-minds want to know!

That's interesting. I thought all the cases came with trays. An image search for singer featherweight tray gives pics of the full length on that we have.

There are 3 different types of cases...
the earliest have a cloth organizer in the lid, the next had the lift out tray, then the latest models hainsides all tray attached to the inside with the pedal bracket in the lid. I will go look for some pictures.

This google image search shows most of the variations:

Then if you google featherweight corduroy case you can see some better images of the early cases. Iwould post the link but for some reason it won't let me.

This is the one I have, from 1941. From the article I linked, it seems like the lid organizer was in addition to the tray.

Mine has a clip for the foot pedal on the lid, a side tray for random accessories and the manual, according to the manual the small green box with accessories goes on the bottom left on a wooden ledge and the clip on the top left was for an oil can. Mine is a 1952 according to singers site. :) I didn't know there were different types and had seen some with trays and thought mine was missing it too but since the manual made no mention of it I didn't think much of it. Good luck!

My case is like that too. I think that's all that came with it originally.

The cases with the organizers in the lid and pull out trays are on the earlier models. The ones with the bracket in the lid and the fixed box inside are the newer models.
