featherweight machine

Hi, I have a featherweight machine to sell.It is ,I think a 220,the one that does not have a free arm.It is in pristime condition with a very good condition case, plus many acceseries. The only problem it has is in the tension. My husband bought this for me as a gift but because of ill health I no longer require it,I simply do not have the time to sort out the tension. Please can anyone advise me as to the price I should ask.In adotion to the hard case I made a fabric cover for it.I am in the U.K,nr. Newcastle.Tyne & Wear.I will happily take photographs if there is any interest ---- not too good at this but will try.Letty

Sorry about your health. I hope it's something treatable and you'll be better soon.
I couldn't even guess at the market for featherweights in the UK. The 221 is the non-free arm, the 222 is the free arm machine.

Do you have a receipt for the machine that your husband bought? That might be a start for pricing. Forget that there is a tension problem. Let the new owner figure that out, but do tell them. I wouldn't think that is a negotiable (cost) problem.

Prayers that your good health returns.

Hope you get well soon...I just bought a featherweight from my repairman in great condition for 200.00. I was in Michigan last month and seen four different Featherweights at different places for five to seven hundred dollars each. Good luck with selling it.
