There's a table that has obviously been resurfaced on craigslist near me, asking price $250. I don't think the tables are in such high demand that it would be worth shipping them. If the table is in good condition, I wouldn't refinish it. I would have preferred to have the original finish on mine, but it just wasn't usable as it was. And now I almost never use it anyway!

Definitely advertise locally. I paid $700 for my FW and table in 2023. The FW is my birth year, so I was willing to “pony up” for it and I had to drive over 100 miles one way to pick it up. DH did some minor repair to table and I refreshed it with a light coat of stain to cover the little scratches. I advertised it for $300 and it was gone in 24 hours. I just have no room for it so why keep it ?

A friend just got a featherweight table, and we are wondering what finish was used. Shellac? Varnish?
