Fellow Treadle Enthusiasts

I posted a request to Free offers and donations but maybe it would have been more appropriate here.

Loooking for 2-4 inches of belt. Do you have any left from when you installed your new belt? Willing to trade.

I have plenty of extra belt, so let me know your address and I will send you some. I have a 15-88 Singer and a Willcox and Gibbs.

I just bought a treadle last week that was built in 1908. Sews like a charm. I am making a log cabin using Civil War fabrics on it. I learned to sew at the age of 8 on a treadle.

Judy, that is sounds great. I would love to see pictures of your treadle and the quilt you are making. Besure to keep us posted.

You can pick up belts for these old girls in a number of places...ebay.... Sew Classic (online) has them as does Guy Baker (also online)... you might send a PM to mizkaki (Cathy) and see if she's got one for you... myself? I have more than one treadle sporting a leather bootlace as a belt and they work just fine! :)
