Finally a 130 with embroidery!
 

Hopefully today is my lucky day. I have been looking for a 130 with embroidery attachment for a while, and finally won one on an online auction site. I had to give 101 for it but they are hard to find around here. I pick it up tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I've never come across the embroidery attachment either. How does it work? I have an eye out for one of these early zigzagges hoping one might turn up. There's a few of them, mostly German and one Swiss. I may include an Italian Necchi.

Thanks Friar_Tuck, it looks like a stack of cams go on there some how and you can choose stitch pattern accordingly? The testsewing was done on a flimsy material that needed ironing, and with a rather narrow stitch width too. I guess it would come out better for a real job; it was only a demonstration of course.

After driving to get it I am very pleased with it.
It may be the first Pfaff that I will keep the original motor on. A good oiling run in, repeat, and it is a hoot to use. Just messing around with the embroidery attachment. [ATTACH=CONFIG]598478[/ATTACH]

I never got that tight with the stitch length when I was testing the 130-6 with embroidery attachment. The very fact that the machine and unit were working at all... had me elated. I probably would have gone further it had been my machine, but when it's for a friend I take it a easy. Your test runs look fabulous.

I do have to say though that you have me quite intrigued. Is there some thing in particular (that I don't know about) that has you shying away from using original Pfaff motors? Is it an age thing? a rebuild thing? Just prefer the new ones? I'm quite curious.

My first one just needs a total rewire and it may be a good motor. My second someone had put together with everything but bailing wire somewhere along the way. This one seems to be in good shape. I have noticed an interesting labeling development: the 1951 and 1952 that I have are labeled "Made in Germany" while the 1954 is labeled "Made in Western Germany"

I have this machine also, with the 50010, "Coffee Grinder" attachment. My favorite thing to do on this machine is free motion quilt. It is so rock solid.
