FMQ on a 15-90 clone

I thought I read somewhere in here that you could FMQ on a 15-90. If so, I'm obviously doing it wrong.

I finally opened my my pretty robin egg blue 15-90 clone over the weekend and attempted FMQ. It didn't work.

What am I doing wrong?

I don't know what you're doing? Do you have the correct foot?

HA! I need a special foot! What kind of foot? :-(

A darning or free motion quilting foot. You probably have a low shank but double check that http://shop.SEW-CLASSIC.COM/

Do the darning feet that came with the old machines (201, 221, 99) work?

Yes. The 15-90 is a low shank machine, so are the others you mentioned. They should be fine.

I love quilting with my 15-90 treadle, she does a fabulous job.

Lower your feed just like on the 301. The feeddogs drop down there's a screw nut for dropping down your feed. A fmq foot helps and its a low shank for 15 90 15 91s. I hope this helps and don't mess with the tension unless you really need too.
