Frankllin No 23 parts?

Hi! I lurk here a lot, but have decided to jump in finally.

I love the old machines and a friend gave me a Franklin Rotary Sewing Machine No 23. She's a beaut! All of the parts and manual were there and the paint job is crisp and clean. My husband has been working on her (because it is definitely a she with all those gorgeous flowers) and he's got it running pretty well. However, all of the gaskets - the motor regulator, the bobbin wheel and the cloth wiring need to be replaced. I have been searching and found machines and manuals on ebay, but no real 'parts'.

Does anyone here know of a good place to score these old parts? I would love to be able to use her.

Thanks so much for any help.

Gaskets?

Bobbin winding tire, electrical cord, foot controllers and other parts can be had at Sew-Classic
{ http://www.shop.sew-classic.com/ }

Fabric covered electrical wire can be found here:

Unless mechanically broken your original foot controller can usually be cleaned and adjusted to work correctly.

I don't bother with the cloth covered wire. I use normal 18-2 wire with either SPT-1 and SPT-2 insulation. Depends on the machine and parts I'm rewiring. Works good and is not overly expensive.

Thank you so very much!!! I didn't know the correct name for the parts, but they were the rubber ones you mentioned. My husband has been working on it, and it runs. The foot pedal has been cleaned and seems to work just fine. I'll tell him about the wire. It is such a pretty machine, I'd love to be able to use it.

I really appreciate the links.
