Free Westinghouse
My husband is helping with my addiction to older machines. This is my new one he got today! Does anyone know where I can get the manual and maybe some extra bobbins for this? Any help is appreciated. Not sure when she was made. Serial # is ALB646181.

Hello,
I just got one of these gold machines today. I am working on getting them ready for a mission project. It came in a cabinet. The serial number is alb274826. I am interesting in any information you could share (source of spare parts, manuals etc). It is in great shape and needs little work, just some light cleaning. I have not done a test sew yet. Thanks, Bonnie |
Ok These are NOT a clone or a 15 at all. The balance wheel on mine turns the opposite way of other machines. It is threaded different and has a different bobbin. I have some that are very light weight and one that is a godzilla.

My neighbor will give me their Free Westinghouse if I restore it. It is similar to this. Would I be able to get bobbins for this? I don't want to rip it apart and fix it up if I can't get a bobbin for it.

Ditto. I love the color also.

If it takes the larger dia, but narrower bobbins than a class 15, in other words the Kenmore, White, National type, Sew-Classics has them.
If it takes the long bobbins most likely they are the same as the Singer 27/28 and those are available many places. Joe |
The machine has been sitting on a porch in a cabinet for years. It is full of dust and grime. I would need to clean and oil it. But if I can't get bobbins, how could I use it? There is one bobbin in the case. The machine is not gold, but looks the same as the one in the photo. I don't know where to look for bobbins. Thanks.
