I am just beginning my collection of very, vintage machines. The article on the novamontgomery website was very informational for me. I have a lot to learn, but I will get there.

Just my opinion, might be guy thing, but I'd search out a replacement bobbin case and get it all set up to run. Switching back and forth is a bit frustrating to me.

JoAnn,
I sent you a pm on a FW bobbin case I saw listed on ebay. It's really a good price -- you'd have to bid higher than $16, but that's where it is now! I sent you the link for it, too! For what it's worth! Jeanette |

Do the reproduction cases definitely not work, or is it a particular brand, luck of the draw, etc?

Thanks, Jeanette. I have my SIL on it.
And thanks for the warning, Sharon. I still have my sister's machine until one day next week; so I'll be searching to see what I can come up with. What was your problem with the after market version. I have been at the point a time or two of just going ahead and ordering one and trying it out; but there is a real one on ebay that I am watching right now. |
I read Nova Montgomery's article and she tells how one on the bobbin cases works with either type, but I never aw where she let use know which one! Is it the one she has pictured?
