I've done FMQ on my FW with a darning foot. I did put a cover over the feed dogs... the one that comes with the buttonholer. I did a baby quilt.... a large quilt might be difficult due to the small space. I had a lot of people tell me that FWs are not made for quilting and that it would put a strain on the motor but I didn't do the whole thing in one sitting and it was just fine.

Try it on a small item..... FWs are tough.... they love to perform for you.
