FW table ???

I just got my first FW and was wondering what a good price would be for FW table.

That really depends on how badly you want one and how lucky you are. Are you talking about the card table? I have heard of people finding them for $25. However, I have a card table for my Singer 301 for which I paid $80. Then I have a card table for my Featherweight for which I paid $150. that is a lot but it was important to me to have the table so that I could have the machine flush with the table.

You can purchase a reproduction one from here http://www.jslyle.com/model221.htm for 177.50 plus 41.50 for shipping. I had considered this before I found my table on craigslist.

I got lucky enough to find mine in a Good Will store, with a doily and fake flowers on top of it. I walked by it a bunch of times and finally moved the doily to see the slot. It was under $10. But it is the only one I've ever seen.

Be cautious with the reproduction ones, I did not have a good experience with this company!

I think a lot of it depends where you are. Down here in SW Florida, I don't find a lot of vintage machines, let alone tables. Most folks sell that stuff at their estate or garage sale before they move south. I did find a near-perfect '57 FW and a table that looked like it had never been used at an antique shop. Since the tables are so hard to find, we talked them down to $500 and came home with them. Eventually I'll sell the machine, since I have one all ready, but even though it was pricey, the table is a keeper. I would think being in Michigan you would have better luck.

I got a FW and the table at an estate sale for $100. I could have gotten them both for $50, but I felt guilty because the lady didn't know what she had so I gave her the $100 - I still felt guilty - but, I came home with both of them!

I found my FW table for $.50, since it was a fundraiser for a local HS band I gave them $5. The mom who was collecting money was puzzled why anyone would want an old scratched up table with a hole in it. Dh assured her that he could mend that hole. :D :D. I didn't do any happy dancing until we got home. :)
It doesn't have the insert, but I don't need it when the machine is in the table.
