General Precision Sewing Machine
 

I just received a phone call telling me that I have inherited a General Precision Sewing machine from the estate of my great-aunt and great-uncle. My brother will bring it to me this weekend. He says it is old, really shiny black and really heavy even though it has a case he thinks makes it a "portable" machine. He read the serial number off to me but that was all the info I could get from him. I have never heard of this brand and am having trouble finding anything about it on the net beyond that they made many things including educational, space and defense equipment and consumer items (sewing machines?). They were bought by Singer in 1968. Anyone know anything about this brand of sewing machine or where I can get information on this machine?

Here it is! Any guesses as to age or anything else?
