gifted singer sewing machine
This machine is unfamiliar to me no instructions but lots of plastic cams, buttonhole maker. The case has a metal handle and is a light cream color. Does anyone remember these machines? I think it might be from the 70's but thats just a guess. Wish I had an instruction book to go with it. Will probably need to take it to be serviced since its been in someone's garage for few years.

We LOVE to help, but we do need something else to go on. If you need help with how to post an image, please ask. (note: the pictures should be around the 640x480 or 800x600 size if possible, makes it easier on dial up folks) |
If you can't upload a picture, the model # should be on the front of the machine right above the reverse lever, in that area. It sounds like a case from a 400/500 series, which would put it in the late 50's to mid 60's. Even posting the serial # would help us identify it.

Some of the newer plastic machine may have the model number on the side or near the motor.

I had two Singers in the 70s and the 80s. They usually had sames on them. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Kind of like a blind man describing an elephant...;). It sounds from the case that it's probably from the 60s or 70s. Hard to say which model though.
Pictures are easy once you've done it. Once you get the picture in your computer hit the icon above where you type. It's the squarish one that's third from the right. It will lead you the rest of the way. Rodney |
