Hey everyone. New to the forum..
I was given a small singer which you can see below. It seems to be missing a lot of parts and has no serial number I can find.
I'm wondering if it might have been a toy for children?
Thanks!

I have one just like it, yours doesn't appear to be missing parts to me

I bought one thinking it might be a good carry along when we go fishing.
It was a good idea for a minute :)
Switched to a sewing machine hand crank

welcome to the forum!

From the pictures it looks reasonably intact. Have you oiled it and tried to thread it? It's a chain stitcher and only used upper thread, there's no bobbin to begin with. Every point were metal moves against metal when you turn the hand wheel needs oil. This is much the mest info page on this toy.

I got one of those for Christmas when I was a child in the 50's. Mine came in a blue and white case. It goes under my tree every Christmas. You can usually find several listed on eBay.
