Good Price For Singer 99

We found this Singer at an estate sale for $10. It is so pretty but quite different in the connection of the knee bar. Needs a little polish but seems to work just fine. I don't need another 99 but just couldn't pass up this beauty.

It looks very much like my 99 from 1934. I guess yours might be earlier because of the knee lever with round end, mine is flat. Yours have little to no signs of wear so it's quite a good find. The wiring on these always need repacing, it's likely 80 or closer to 90 years old.

Nice machine - and I'd have grabbed it at that price too - since I've paid $35 for just the knee control.

This is the earlier (and harder to find) style.

Be very careful when you go to rewire it, don't break those round connectors. New ones are not available. I don't remember what I did to get them loose on a 99 I had without breaking them as I gave the machine away years ago.
