Yes that's correct and it doesn't help me, it only adds confusion. Several of the badged names I know Brother supplied were also built by other companies, then you have to get into the real tricky part-dating them to figure out who made what when... Zorba attributes Brother as making a few of those machines and I would have to agree based on the JA#s but the body style sure doesn't look like a Brother. I'd forgotten about that site, I read through it years ago.

Zorba's focus is on the American Beauty branded machines. My focus is on who made mine and it's definitely Toyota. I'm hoping it will help me find the right cams for it. Macybaby probably already knows hers is a Toyota too but I'm hoping the information might be useful to her as well.

Cams can be such a crap shoot. Very few cam boxes are marked with what they're for. I know Brother cam sets, naturally, and I know a few others but for the most part unless you can find a pic of the machine with it's particular cams it can be hard. When we have the get together we should all bring our orphan sets and see if we can match them to machines.

I just started a thread for people to post mug shots of their cams along with any useful info they may have like the machines they know they fit. I'm hoping if enough people participate that it will become a useful guide for people trying to find cams for their machines.

Regarding the wood finish, I would say that the cabinet has a blond finish. IMHO, a pickled finish is more of a white stained look. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Possibly blonde. Either way it's not my favorite treatment of oak.
