Goodwill Embossed White Rotary.

Saw this embossed White Rotary machine, in a functional cabinet, at a local Goodwill store this evening.

Everything spun as it should, though it was a bit tight. I couldn't find the 3-prong plug to see if the motor worked or not, and I couldn't turn that screw on the front of the bed so that I could tilt the machine back to peer at the dark underbelly. It had a pretty full box of rotary feet, but some of them had rust on them.

They had it priced at $29.99, which to me seemed like a bargain, if you are into this type of machine.

So I don't run the risk of publicly undercutting anyone, or possibly fomenting a stampede, if you are interested, just shoot me a PM and I will tell you which Goodwill it is at.

That is exactly like what I have - cabinet and all! I love the two drawers that pull out of the box on the inside of the door.

I paid $40 for mine. The young mother had bought it about 5 years before, and never did a thing with it. It was right before Christmas and she was looking for money for presents - and her husband was looking for more room in the garage. So it worked out for everyone. The machine looks much nicer in my bedroom than it did in their garage.

I would have had a very hard time leaving that one behind. Looks like someone may have cut the center stretcher out of the bottom of the cabinet. Not a deal breaker though given the price with attachments.

And it looks like it comes with a stool? Nice!

Nope. No stool with it.

Wow, that's awesome.

I saw a fairly similar White machine in a similar cabinet at a local thrift shop and they had a $95 sticker on it. And the bobbin winding assembly was missing, along with the pedal so it was totally untested. Yeesh.

I bought mine at a yard sale for $40. The machine head is the same, but the cabinet is different. The entire top lifts off so the machine can tilt up. The machine sews beautifully - only one issue - there is a rubber 'wheel' on the back that 'runs' the machine and it has 'dents' in it from being stored in one position with pressure on it. I need to find some new ones so it doesn't make a funny noise when it hits those spots. I just couldn't leave it behind. I wish mine had a stool/bench, but the cabinet is in very good shape and looks like a piece of furniture in my entry way into the family room.

w7sue,

Sewing Machine Parts: { http://sewing-machine-parts-store.co...&brand=&page=2 } I think #409 is the one you want.

Also at one time Thayer Rags: { http://thayerrags.com/ } had some.
