Got the Circular Stitcher, now I need instructions
In this thread: { http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...e-t200274.html } I asked if this circular stitcher was complete. The answers were yes. So we have it now and I have a couple questions.
A: Does anyone here have a set of original Singer instructions for this they could scan and email me? Or ~ a link to a "free" .pdf download of a set of original Singer instructions. B: I was doing an internet search for "free" instructions and found none, but I did find a mention of a "Low Shank" Circular Stitcher. So, what is the difference, if any, between the one we have marked "for Touch & Sew Sewing Machines" and the Low shank ones? Thanks, Joe |

jlm5419,
Seen those, but they aren't Singer factory instructions. And I'm pretty search challenged, I rarely can find anything I want on Google. Joe |
Charlene at The Sew Box is an expert on attachments...Singer in particular. The wrote the Sewing Machine Attachment Handbook. If you'll notice in the pictures she IS using a Singer slant shank foot. There's no trick to using a circular stitcher....just adjust it so that the distance from the pin to the needle is 1/2 the width of the circle that you want to make...3" circle=1.5" from needle to pin.

I would like these instuctions also. I just sent an e-mail to singer asking them for info. Maybe someone on the board could help us out!!
