Gotham model 4000
I picked one of these up today at the thrift store for $10, it looks like new. I wish I new how to post a pic, I only know how to email pics. Does anybody know if this is a 60's machine? It sews good, came in a case with the manual and some feet and bobbins. It is very heavy.

Posting here is easier than emailing. I'll send you a PM with my email address if you want me to post the pics for you.

The machine in question:
I was hoping for something black with fins. It's still a neat looking machine though. Rodney |
It runs real quiet, of course it needed oil.

Rodney, you are so good to people on this board. There are a bunch of good helpers. What a board!

I picked up a Gotham about a year ago for $5. It had nothing with it--looking for manual so I can get it going..it is pink...motor works -still needs some tweeking...

Thanks Rodney for posting the pic for me. Do you know if this is a high shank machine? None of my quarter inch feet will fit it, they are too short.

That's a great looking machine.
